Herd:
To maintain
our excellent health status, no life animals will enter the barn,
only artificial insemination is used to introduce new blood-lines
into the barn.
Over the past
few years we have introduced Berkshire
Pigs into the herd.
Berkshire pork
is known for it's juiciness, flavor, tenderness and marbling.
However, purebred Berkshires have a high percentage of fat, that's
why we breed Landrace / Yorkshire sows with a Berkshire boar
